We began making and using "Cold Shields" on our metal body resonator guitars some time ago when we realized that the cold was right under the main veins and arteries of our arm and was negatively affecting our endurance and coordination from our upper arm to our fingertips.

Even when the guitar body seemed to be warmed up, the cold was still transferring to our arm.
As our body warmth radiated off of the metal into the air and away from our arms, it was constantly being replaced by cold transference.

It didn't take other players very long to notice the shield, ask about them and soon wanted one for themselves.

This is an easy on and removed, inexpensive accessory which will not harm the finish on the body.

In fact our shield reduces arm-wear and protects the finish.
